    Dr. Morgan Russell-Stokes (she,her) is a Black American woman from Hampton, Virginia with over 10 years of experience in the higher education profession. She was introduced to DEI work through serving as the Director of Disability Services at a small private HBCU. Since then, she has served in several other roles that include multicultural affairs, student success, and first-year experience. As the Dean for Student Equity & Inclusion at the University of Richmond, Dr. Morgan Russell-Stokes collaborates with faculty, staff, and students across campus to cultivate an inclusive community and empower students to be affirmed in their identities and how they intersect. In her role, she gives voice to marginalized student identities through advocating for equitable polices, process, and systems within the institution. She provides leadership of the Student Center for Equity and Inclusion (SCEI); with the mission of supporting first-generation, limited-income, multicultural, and LGBTQ+ students. Through additional avenues of institutional service, she has taught a WELL 090 course entitled “For the Culture”, that explores identity development for people of color in a collegiate environment. She received her B.S. from South Carolina State University, an M.S. in Higher Education from Walden University, and Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University.
